clock gone into different timezone
The strangest thing that has happened in our house is that our Staiger radio-controlled clock decided (without any prior notice) to move to a different timezone. It's 4 hours (although the minutes are still accurate!) behind...so I reckon it's moved to a ship somewhere in the mid-Atlantic. We've tried to re-set it but...it stubbornly reverts back to its 4 hour behind zone. Or maybe it's actually set to a Pacific island time...can clocks retire?
I know it's sad but I really liked that clock because (a) it was always EXACTLY right and (b) it used to change by itself in Spring and autumn (switch to Daylight Saving time). I haven't taken it down...in the hope that it will come back to us, come out of early retirement...I looked it up on the Internet (wonder if this is Jung's Collective Unconscious made virtual...) but got nothing...
