What I don't understand about weddings..

I hate weddings. In fact, my own wedding (1996) was extremely low-key.

However, over the holidays I ended up going to my cousin's wedding (as a replacement) and while it was highly enjoyable (this family knows how to have a good time!)...I found myself pondering several questions... (not really anything to do with this particular wedding)

If being a virgin and wearing white to symbolise it is so important...why don't men dress in white too?

• If the man and woman are engaged to each other...why doesn't the man wear an engagement ring as well...
